IAOPA, “The International Council of Aircraft Owner and Pilot Associations (IAOPA)”
based in the US, is a non-profit organization of more than 80 independent, non-governmental, national aviation organizations. IAOPA has been active in international aviation for more than 60 years. IAOPA represents the interests of its members at various international aviation organizations. In total, IAOPA represents more than 400,000 pilots worldwide who fly for business and/or personal purposes. Every 2 years, IAOPA holds a world meeting with the delegates of the more than 80 affiliated national organizations, also called the AOPA affiliates. IAOPA, is further divided into 6 regional IAOPA organizations. These 6 regional organizations are:

IAOPA Europe is the formal association of the national AOPAs in Europe. By joining your national AOPA Belgium organisation, you will also become a member of IAOPA Europe. Your membership will then be added to the benefits list of members so that you can obtain financial benefits/discounts from various companies. AOPA Belgium, like all national AOPAs, is referred to as AOPA with the country added. Each country has its own AOPA identity and independent operating structure. AOPA Belgium first became a member of IAOPA and IAOPA Europe in 2020. The current budget of AOPA Belgium is currently less than €2,000.
